Mixed Harmony Brigade of New England
Date: March 22 ̶ 24, 2019
Venue: Courtyard by Marriott
75 Felton St.
Marlborough, Mass 01532
This is the premier North American Mixed Harmony Brigade. What’s this all about? A Brigade Rally is a weekend long gathering for serious quartet singers who are willing to put in the time and effort to learn 12 songs word- and note-perfect, using sheet music and fully interpreted learning tracks.
There is a “not-too-serious” contest in which your name is pulled from a hat with three other singers and you have one hour to get ready to perform it. The judges are usually a well-known quartet from the area or from the International stage.
There is a “dance card” contest (the quartet tramp contest) with prizes for getting a sticker from all the singers on the other parts.
On Saturday night we put on a show for the public, with step out quartets and with all personnel singing as a chorus.
Check it out and apply at www.mhbne.org. If you apply and are accepted, you will have the time of your life!
