Exciting news shared with us by Sue Atkins:
“The Stockton Portsmen Barbershop Chorus has been invited to perform at the FWD Fall Convention on Saturday, October 13th. We are 1 of 20 choruses that have been invited to perform and we will be singing last. Note that we are the only “mixed” chorus to perform and we will be the first mixed chorus to step on this stage. We are thrilled to be part of this historical moment.”
Clearly, there is an active presence in California for mixed choruses! The Stockton Portsmen Chorus is a registered chorus with MBHA, and has been an active mixed chorus for 10 years, as their women members have been associate members in BHS. Please visit their Facebook page here and give them a “like,” or visit their web page at www.StocktonPortsmen.org
Here are a couple of their recent performances for your enjoyment:

Singing God Bless America during the 7th Inning Stretch.
Thank you, Stockton Portsmen, for being such great ambassadors for mixed barbershop singing!!
