MBHA UPDATE FROM BHS INTERNATIONAL

Better Together Quartet (formerly Blind Wives) performs at the MBHA Showcase at the BHS International Convention, Orlando, FL on July 6, 2018. (PC: Bill Colosimo)

MBHA had an amazing presence at the Barbershop Harmony Society’s International Convention in Orlando, FL last week!  Aside from having an information table/booth for interested attendees, we produced a Mixed Barbershop Harmony Association Showcase on Friday evening.  Approximately 300 people attended this event!  Performers included Double Date, Pink Flamingo, Full Measure, Vintage Mix, Southern Stride, and Better Together (formerly Blind Wives).

On Saturday, a General Membership meeting was held, open to all, which included elections for our new Board of Directors.  We would like to thank all MBHA members who voted, both online and in person.  The results were as follows:

Immediate Past President:  Ron Morden (Founder)

President:  Roxanne Powell

Vice President:  Barry Towner

Treasurer:  Bill Colosimo

Board Members:  (Re-elected) Gerry Borden, Dale Summer, Carlos Aguayo, Doug Miller, Janine Roberts, and (newly elected) Bill Adams.

In addition, we would like to extend many thanks to Ravi Raghuram for his service during this past year.
